Tom: Manny threw his hat in to this year’s Ty Cobb Memorial Douchebag Award voting.
Mike: tied with Shawn Chacon, dropping Milton bradley to 3rd.
Tom: It’s a good year. We have give entries if you include Elijah Dukes. Are we putting Reyes or Santana in the running?
Mike: …….NOPE

There you have it. For the record: the season’s current entries are:
Elijah Dukes: For screaming at his manager in the dugout.
Milton Bradley: A perennial contender — for trying to hunt down Kansas City Royal’s television announcer Ryan Lefebvre. Lefebvre had said that people are rooting for Josh Hamilton but it doesn’t seem like they’re rooting for Bradley. Which is true. Why could that be?
Shawn Chacon: For shoving GM Ed Wade to the ground and choking him. Nothing like a professional athlete bullying an old man.
The MLBPA: For actually filing a grievance to defend Chacon’s actions.
Sidney Ponson: For… something drastic. All we know is that the Texas Rangers, a team getting a combined 4.88 ERA from its starters, randomly cut a guy with a 3.88 ERA over 55 innings.
Manny Ramirez: For shoving the team’s traveling secretary, Jack McCormack, to the ground when McCormack had the audacity to tell he might not be able to get Manny 16 tickets to the Red Sox/Astros interleague game.
